GAC digital governors are solid state microprocessor based speed control unit that offer precise (+/- 0.25%) speed control with fast response to transient load changes in isochronous and droop modes. GAC digital governors are: 
  • high reliable and not subject to drift
  • built to withstand the harsh engine environment
  • designed to regulate engine speed on diesel and gas reciprocating engines
  • a suitable replacement for any mechanical governor
  • designed for generator sets, mechanical drives to pumps, compressors.
EDG (Electronic Digital Governors) SERIES  The EDG5500 is designed to be a compatible replacement for GAC’s venerable ESD5500E. The terminal connections are virtually identical to the ESD5500E. The mounting hole pattern and footprint is the same.  In addition, the EDG5500 has: 
  • a simple LCD user interface
  • 5 push buttons, no potentiometers
  • lockable display to prevent unauthorized access
  • 2 fixed speeds (rated / idle) and variable speed
  • isochronous or droop governing
  • overspeed sensing
  • an optional J1939 CAN Bus

SDG (Smart Digital Governors) SERIES The SDG Series have several built in configurable features:  
  • three fixed and one variable speed with correlating droop settings
  • engine overspeed shutdown protection
  • configured using GAC’s SmartVU software
  • available with and without user interfaces
