THROTTLE BODY SOLUTIONS
GAC throttle body series operate in a variety of gaseous media. Whether you are replacing an existing throttle body, or need a complete air / fuel ratio control system, GAC has your solution.

The ATB Series provides fast response and proven reliability to allow for efficient and precise control. The ATB Series actuator directly drives the throttle plate with internal return springs, ensuring that the throttle plate returns to the minimum fuel position when the actuator becomes de-energized.

SES Arrow Manufacturing, build natural gas engines equipped with a GAC ATB that supports a variety of applications. As versatile as the ATB mounted on it.

GAC offers a complete electronic governing system for the natural gas or propane fueled Ford 300 (4.9L) in line engine using a GAC throttle body with an Impco 125 carburetor- mixer.
Aegis Energy Services provides turnkey modular combined heat and power systems. Cogeneration module includes a natural gas-fueled engine with a GAC ATB and GAC speed controller, induction generator, a microprocessor control panel, protective switchgear, and heat recovery equipment.

PSS Governor Services fully equipped governor repair facility replaces mechanical governors with the GAC throttle body and GAC speed controller to eliminate external linkages and improve performance. This common fix is a great way to extend the life of an older generator.
The Governor Shop of Edmonton, Alberta Canada upgraded a 14.64L, 6 cylinder Caterpillar G3406 engine to a GAC control system, noting its ease of installation and superior performance.

About the ATB
The ATB Series is designed to provide an exact fit to the various manifolds and mixers available.
The actuator is mounted rigidly between the engine’s intake manifold and the gas mixer. The preferred mounting orientation for the ATB Series is with the throttle shaft parallel to the engine crank shaft. Normal vibration from the engine will not affect the operation of the actuator.

The GAC AFR provides an optimal closed loop air-fuel ratio control system with a built-in engine speed governor capable of engine sensing, data monitoring and diagnostic capability. It supports CAN/Serial communication and is easy to configure using GAC SmartVU software.
ATB Tech Tip
The ATB should be tuned to MIN and MAX throttle speeds by adjusting the throttle screws to raise or lower the engine speed to support load.
- Determine the engine throttle speed MIN and MAX and using a Hz meter, measure your output.
- At the ATB, noting the arrow on the side of the ATB, locate the MIN and MAX set screws.
- Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, remove the sealing screw. This gives you access to the inner Idle set screw.
- Using a 2.5 mm Hex wrench, at the Idle set screw, turn the wrench clockwise to increase the fixed throttle opening.
- After adjusting the Idle set screw, insert the sealing screw and tighten to snug plus ¼ turn.
