Governors America Corporation (GAC), is seeking a detail oriented, organized, dependable Engineering Support Specialist to join our organization in Agawam, MA. The ideal candidate will support engineering design clerical functions and processing of engineering documentation, change requests, and input requests. Essential duties and responsibilities also include:
- Configuration control processing of Document Change Notices using Omnify Empower software.
- Processing input requests for documentation changes from various departments.
- Scheduling meetings, compiling meeting minutes, and meeting follow-up in Engineering department including New Product Development (NPD) efforts.
- Working with technical drawings, product specifications, and additional descriptive documentation required to support department staff and activities.
- Preparing material for engineering department training and department reports.
- Track and report prototype builds including resource and target delivery conflicts and issues.

- Ability to comprehend and independently manage configuration control software.
- Microsoft Office proficiency: Excel (Data Functions, Charts, Pivot Tables), Word (Templates, Tables, Outlines, Text Boxes), Outlook and PowerPoint
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Technical degree preferred or high school diploma and 2-5 years of experience in an engineering or related environment.
- Configuration Management (Omnify Empower preferred)
- Enterprise Resource Planning (Made to Manage, M2M preferred)
- Project Management
- AS9100 or ISO9000 environment
