The EEG7000 Enhanced Electronic Digital Speed Controller is designed to accurately control engine speed and provide a fast, precise response to transient engine loads for diesel and gaseous fueled engines.
When paired with a GAC actuator, the EEG is a significant upgrade for any mechanical governor system that needs flexibility, precision or accurate speed control. Designed for industrial engine applications from generator sets, mechanical drives, pumps, compressors and off-road mobile equipment, it is set up using the GAConfig Tool, consolidating the most popular GAC programming features into one user-friendly package. It can also be controlled directly over J1939 with aftermarket displays such as ComAp, Dynagen, Murphy and others—a solution for every application.

On-Demand Battery Charging in Australia
Application of the Month
Our customers are working hard to create a greener world in many different ways. Remote Energy, an Australian-based power and energy solution company, builds high-performance, low- and no-emission critical power and energy solutions supporting a wide range of industries including mining, telecom and construction, with the help of GAC’s EEG7000.
Remote Energy uses the EEG7000 in a number of its solutions. The HPE Mining Series is a 4kw 48V DC generator used for precision lithium battery charging. “We convert the mechanical control of the engine to electronic utilizing the EEG7000 controller and a custom-built actuator to manage the speed of the engine, which includes a warm-up phase before load is applied then to main RPM, which controls voltage to charge the batteries. We maintain voltage to 0.1 volts, which is very precise.”
Using a local laptop and the GAConfig Tool, they set charge voltage, current and engine protections, and extensively test load to ensure the CAT C0.5 2 Cylinder diesel engine executes perfectly. “The EEG7000 and software runs like a dream; we use this governor on all our CAT systems for mining and telecom applications.”
This solution provides a cleaner solution to power. No diesel engine is running continuously for light and power; instead, the batteries sip from the engine and store power, shutting down the engine once the batteries are charged, and restarting when a charge threshold is reached. The concept is not new, but the technology is ever improving, lowering carbon footprints.
Remote Energy also uses the EEG7000 in its Eco-Drive DC-X, an idle reduction system that allows the main engine to shut down but still enables support for air conditioning, lighting, hydraulics or other critical systems. It is also part of their TCS Telecommunications Series that provides a ruggedized low-maintenance version of the Mining Series, providing instant power anywhere with 150 kWh of battery storage.
Everything GAC manufactures provides control. From actuators to electronics, we provide solutions that improve how we control power in our world. As we turn to electrifying the world, there are many solutions, and GAC is there to support yours.

Idle Stats
Engine idling may seem harmless, but it has a huge impact annually in the USA1. In 2010, the US consumed 1 billion gallons of diesel fuel. This fuel produced:
- 11 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2)
- 180,000 tons of nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- 5,000 tons of particulate matter (PM)
Eight hours of idling in an 18-wheeler uses 8–10 gallons of fuel. Using an idle reduction system, usage is reduced to 1–1.2 gallons of fuel for the same time span.
